Insurance Requirements
All Tekyeka providers must maintain active insurance coverage at all times while operating on the platform. Insurance is verified at application and must remain current throughout your time as a provider.
Individual Providers
- 1
Required coverage
- Active commercial auto insurance or general liability insurance policy
- The policy must cover your service activities — a standard personal auto policy is not sufficient
- Proof of insurance is submitted at application and reviewed by the team
Business / Shop Providers
- 1
Required coverage
- Active commercial business insurance covering all shop operations
- Coverage must extend to all services offered through the Tekyeka platform
- Business license and EIN are also required — see Required Documents for the full list
Keeping Coverage Current
- 1
Expired or lapsed policies
- Providers with expired or lapsed insurance are subject to immediate account suspension
- You are responsible for keeping your insurance active and up to date
- 2
Updating your insurance
- If your policy changes or renews, contact the Tekyeka team via Menu > Support to update your records
Why It Is Required
Insurance protects you, the customer, and the platform. In the event of accidental vehicle damage or a liability claim during a job, your coverage is your first line of protection. Every provider on the platform must be able to back their work.
