Going Online and Receiving Jobs

Going online is how you tell Tekyeka you are available and ready to receive job notifications. The system validates your profile before allowing you to go live, then immediately starts routing matching jobs to you.

Requirements Checklist

All of the following must be in place before you can toggle online. The system checks each one in order and will show you an exact error message if anything is missing.

  1. 1

    Profile photo uploaded

    • Upload a clear profile photo via Menu > Profile > tap avatar
  2. 2

    Email verified (phone-login accounts only)

    • Add and verify your email under Menu > Profile > Email
    • If you do not already have an email on your account, go to Menu > Profile > Email to add one
  3. 3

    Biometrics enrolled

    • Enroll Face ID or fingerprint under Menu > Account > Biometrics
    • Biometric verification is checked every time you open the hub
  4. 4

    Bank account linked

    • Link your bank account under Menu > Account > Payouts
    • Auto Payout must show Active — the system verifies this in real time
  5. 5

Vehicle on file (mobile or all-type providers)

    • Add at least one vehicle under Menu > Account > Vehicles
    • Shop-only providers are exempt from this requirement
  6. 6

    Location permission granted

    • The system requests your GPS coordinates the moment you toggle online
    • If location is denied, you will see a specific error — enable location in your device settings

What Happens When You Go Online

Your coordinates are sent to the server, your availability is set to Active, and the job feed immediately starts loading matching open jobs within your service radius. A screen wake lock is also activated to keep your display on while you are online.

How a New Job Reaches You

When a new job is matched to you, it hits your hub in three ways at once:

  1. 1

    Incoming job popup

    • A popup slides up over your screen showing the vehicle, service type, location, and distance
    • Tap it to open the full job details and submit your offer
  2. 2

    Opportunities list

    • The job also lands in the Opportunities list — tap the menu (hamburger icon, top right) and select Opportunities
    • The menu icon shows a badge count for any new jobs you have not reviewed yet
    • Opportunities is your backup in case the popup was missed
  3. 3

    Email notification

    • A job alert email is also sent to your registered email address

Going Offline

On **mobile**: pull up the slide-up sheet at the bottom of the screen — tap or drag the pill handle at the top to expand it, then tap the power button inside to go offline. On **desktop**: tap the Online/Offline toggle in the top bar of the hub. The system will also automatically take you offline after 30 minutes of inactivity.
