Mobile Job Safety
Mobile jobs put you on the road and at unfamiliar locations. These practices keep you safe and professional on every job.
Before You Leave
- 1
Review the job location
- Check the meet address in the app before leaving — confirm it is accessible and reasonable
- If the location seems unusual or unsafe, message the customer through the app before proceeding
- 2
Keep your phone charged
- Your phone is your connection to the customer and the platform — keep it charged and location services on throughout the job
On the Job
- 1
Verify the vehicle before starting
- Confirm the vehicle matches the job details (year, make, model) before touching anything
- 2
Use proper PPE
- Gloves and eye protection for any mechanical, chemical, or fluid work
- Closed-toe shoes minimum — no exceptions on a job site
- 3
Work in ventilated areas only
- Never run engines or work with chemicals in enclosed spaces without proper ventilation
- 4
Use rated equipment
- Only use rated jacks and safety stands — never work under a vehicle supported only by a floor jack
- Chock wheels before any lifting
Trust Your Gut
If anything about a job site, customer, or situation feels unsafe, you are not required to proceed. Leave safely, cancel the job through the app, and report the incident through Menu > Support. Your safety comes first — always.
Emergency Protocol
Call 911 first for any emergency. Once you are safe, report the incident to Tekyeka via Menu > Support with as much detail as possible.
