When a Customer Files a Dispute

Customers have 48 hours after a job is marked Completed to open a dispute. During this period, your payout for that job is held until the dispute is resolved by the Tekyeka team.

What Happens When a Dispute Is Filed

  1. 1

    Funds are frozen

    • Your payout for the disputed job is held immediately
    • You will receive an in-app notification and email informing you a dispute has been opened
  2. 2

    Review begins

    • The Tekyeka team reviews all available evidence from both sides
    • You may be asked to provide photos, descriptions, or other supporting information
  3. 3

    Decision issued

    • A manual decision is made by the Tekyeka team
    • Possible outcomes: full payout to you, partial payout, or full refund to the customer
    • You will be notified of the outcome and reasoning

Protecting Yourself

The best protection against disputes is thorough documentation. Take before and after photos of every job, confirm the scope of work with the customer before starting, and communicate through the app so there is a record.
